Possible scenarios after the arrests of Golden Dawn members

by system failure

It's kind of hard someone to say that some things are random. The last days we witnessed rapid developments and events in Greece that, if combined, a lot can be explained.

Arrests of Golden Dawn members: why now?

German elections gave the opportunity to the representatives of neoliberal dictatorship in Greece, to restrict the neo-nazi monster that threatened to break out of their control. The reelection of Merkel, secures the expansion of destructive neoliberal policies across Europe in favor of bankers and big capital and the nazist monster can go back to the closet, until further instructions.

Although already mentioned briefly, in a previous article, what the representatives of the neoliberal dictatorship in Greece managed to achieve (http://failedevolution.blogspot.gr/2013/09/greece-when-neoliberal-dictatorship.html), the list of their "achievements", could be expanded. Specifically:

Within less than a month, all settled as they wanted. They knew Golden Dawn, they expected such a murder. As long as GD was murdering immigrants and doing the "dirty work", was quite useful. Just after this political assassination of a Greek citizen, the "local representatives" found the excuse to cut the unacceptably high rates of GD and restore them to a more "manageable" level of about 7%. Small enough to be able to control GD and big enough to be a threat against "democratic stability" to spread the fear again if necessary and a factor of breaking the anti-Memorandum electoral tank, which contains various ideological colors. It was not very difficult, as they control banks, media, poll companies, the government itself.

In particular, Samaras government tries to fix its image after the fiasco of ERT, as attempts to prove that keeps equal distance from everyone, without discrimination, and has the same determination in each case to act summarily.

It's not easy for someone to believe this, as Golden Dawn acted undisturbed so far under the tolerance of the police. The already classic argument made ad nauseam by the mainstream media as an excuse for the Greek justice and police inaction, that they were trying to connect all data to secure criminal charges, looks silly, if one consider that for other - perhaps less difficult - cases, the delay of the Greek authorities is characteristic.

The Greek Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection, Nikos Dendias, this time moved very fast and the finding of the Greek Supreme Court, composed in record time, include details of action, structure, and even the past and the course of the neo-nazi organization through time. How did they do it now so well, so fast, to "tie" the data after the assassination of Fyssas? Everything indicates that they had the necessary proofs long ago, but waited for the right moment. Besides, this was also confirmed, substantially, by the former coalition government partner and leader of the Leftist party Dimokratiki Aristera, Fotis Kouvelis, who said that some New Democracy and governmental officials, were playing with the Golden Dawn agenda.

Also, Samaras government attempts to get rid of the stigma of ideological relation with the fascist far Right, while in the government participate some MPs from Nea Dimokratia, with a far Right past, and while the government closed the Public National Broadcaster through a coup d'etat type action.

Some possible scenarios

The representatives of neoliberal dictatorship in Greece, as managed to restrict Golden Dawn to the desirable limits, are now free to focus on the problem called “new possible rise of the Left”.

During the next period, we should probably expect new successive polls between increased propaganda against the "dangerous", for their plans, Left and certainly against SYRIZA, the Leftist opposition party, which threatens the first position for the Memorandum block in future possible elections.

Neoliberal dictatorship, does not afraid of course, solely, a possible rise of the Left during future elections in Greece. What fears most is, whether the domino theory could be verified, through the general rise of the Left in Europe. A domino which can be started from Greece and could be expanded initially in the eurozone periphery, putting at risk its plans.

If the polls show a new rise of the Left beyond "manageable limits", new provocation operations should not be unexpected, by the para-state mechanisms, which the systemic establishment activates, when its sovereignty is threatened. Besides, the ground is properly prepared through the so-called "theory of two extremes", which equalize the neo-nazist far Right with the radical Left. This theory is reproduced ad nauseam by the mainstream media and by systemic mouthpieces. Although this theory is soundly baseless, can be particularly effective if combined with successful provocation operations.

As neoliberal dictatorship is ruthless, behaves essentially like the leadership of a mafia organization, dropping out some of its members when they are not useful anymore, as did with the Golden Dawn.

Thus, another possible scenario is to drop out some "useful politicians" who serve its interests through the participation in the government, but now do not need them. The bell rings for the Socialist coalition party leader, Evangelos Venizelos, and probably for some others since it is almost certain that, there is evidence for their responsibility about handling the case of the Lagarde list, which incidentally has been temporarily forgotten. Maybe it's time, some evidence to be revealed about the case "incidentally".

From a possible sacrifice of Venizelos, there will be additional profits. First, the image of the neoliberal Right (i.e. essentially the Nea Dimokratia main government coalition party), will further improve. This would be the most desirable development, since Nea Dimokratia is the most authentic and most definite representative of the neoliberal dictatorship in Greece in a political level, giving the impression that does not hesitate to give up even its own partners for the sake of justice, in order to balance the new harsh measures that will come under the orders of Merkel and the Troika lenders, and give a rising sense of justice for citizens.

Therefore, Nea Dimokratia will possibly win the trust of even more far Right voters who, along with new "cleaning" operations of illegal immigrants, could be persuaded for the intentions of the party, and allow it to continue undisturbed the completion of the Greek experiment and pave the way for its expansion throughout Europe.

Trump helps BlackRock buy Panama Canal ports, to weaken China & strengthen Wall Street

Ben Norton discusses how the US government is trying to weaken China -- and strengthen Wall Street oligarchs.

Trump's tariffs: A unique opportunity for BRICS and the Global South to fully escape from dollar tyranny

globinfo freexchange   Does Trump know what he is doing? Well, yes and no. While many interpretate his latest move, mostly as an attempt to halt China, his main goal is to give the final blow to the neoliberal order on behalf of his oligarchs .  From this perspective, Trump's unprecedented decision to decide mass tariffs against almost everyone, was an act of strategic hit against the global free market neoliberalism, with the financial capital  at its top. And that's because this dominant-for-almost-half-century system, identifies restrictions and protectionism as major threats against its own existence. In other words, Trump acted as a commander of the capitalist faction that wants to beat its neoliberal rivals and put itself in charge, through a new transformation of capitalism into a 21st century corporate feudalism.   Concerning China, Trump's move may have some negative impact on its economy for a while, since China has chosen to partially play by the rule...

Israel Has Always ‘Depended on Genocide’ to Colonize Palestine

BreakThrough News   Rania Khalek and Eugene Puryear discuss Israel’s resumption of its genocidal war on Palestinians in Gaza, launched just a day before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to face his corruption trial. Israel, backed by a green light from Trump, intensified the bombing of Gaza, began a ground invasion, and killed over 500 Palestinians within 48 hours while enforcing a total blockade of Gaza. Eugene states that Israel never wanted to go through with the ceasefire because “the Israeli project can’t succeed unless it totally ethnically cleanses the territories it claims– and kills anyone in the way.” Recognizing that they may “not get the chance again,” they are putting their foot on the accelerator.”

Betar: the Far-Right Hate Group Helping Trump Deport Israel’s Critics

by Alan Macleod  Part 1 A far-right, pro-Israel group with a history of support for terror and genocide is working closely with the Trump administration, preparing dossiers on thousands of pro-Palestine figures it wants deported from the United States. Betar U.S. is known to have had several meetings with senior government officials and has claimed credit for the arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil, a leader of the nationwide anti-genocide student demonstrations that began at Columbia University last year. Ross Glick, the group’s executive director until last month, noted that he met with a diverse set of influential lawmakers, including Democratic senator John Fetterman and aides to the Republican senators Ted Cruz and James Lankford, and that all supported Betar U.S.’ campaign to rid the country of thousands of “terror supporters.” Shortly after Glick’s trip to Washington, D.C., Trump signed an executive order titled “Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism” that promises ...

Professor at Center of Columbia University Deportation Scandal is Former Israeli Spy

The professor at the center of the Columbia University deportation scandal is a former Israeli intelligence official, MintPress News can reveal. Mahmoud Khalil, a recent graduate of the university’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), was abducted by Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) Saturday for his role in organizing protests last year against Israel’s attack on Gaza. Khalil’s dean, Dr. Keren Yarhi-Milo, head of the School of International and Public Affairs, is a former Israeli military intelligence officer and official at Israel’s Mission to the United Nations. Yarhi-Milo played a significant role in drumming up public concern about a supposed wave of intolerable anti-Semitism sweeping over the campus, thereby laying the groundwork for the extensive crackdown on civil liberties that has followed the protests.   by Alan Macleod   Part 2 - Unprecedented Protests, Unprecedented Repression Columbia was the epicenter of a massive protest movement across ...

Netanyahu commits 'a bloodbath in Gaza' to save himself

Middle East Eye   At least 400 people have been killed after a surprise Israeli attack on Gaza in the early hours of Tuesday. Israel’s government vows to continue escalating these military attacks, saying it’s in response to Hamas’ refusal to extend the ceasefire, which has been in place since January. But is this the real reason for this morning’s attack? Or is there a much more cynical explanation - one tied to the political fate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?   The Big Picture Podcast speaks to Daniel Levy, the president of the US/Middle East Project and a former Israeli peace negotiator.
