Γαλλία: Ο επόμενος στόχος;

Greece: Police brutality against students and journalists who were protesting for the Farmakonisi tragedy

On Thursday morning, police special forces attacked against students who were peacefully protesting for the Farmakonisi tragedy ( http://failedevolution.blogspot.gr/2014/01/farmakonisi-tragedy.html ) outside the office of the MP Miltiadis Varvitsiotis. According to the Greek radio broadcaster "Sto Kokkino", the policemen attacked against students, journalists and photographers, as well as against MP with the Leftist party SYRIZA, Christos Karagiannidis. According to the reporter of the radio broadcaster, the policemen from "Delta" team who attacked, forced students to lie down by kicking and beating them. Speaking at Hot Doc Radio with the journalist Kostas Vaxevanis, Christos Karagiannidis supported that there were 50 to 60 people - members of the SYRIZA youth with banners while suddenly the police forces attacked against them without reason. Not only students were beaten by the police, but also journalists and photographers, as well as people who

Germany: 16 million people below poverty line

Based on current statistics, more than 19% of Germans or about 16 million people, live below poverty line while the average pension is 700 euros with a tension to decrease by Zissis Papadimitriou* Germany has by far the strongest real economy among the EU member-states, but this does not mean that social wealth is distributed equally. The picture presented by the Greek mainstream media for the economic situation of the German people, stands far from reality. Neoliberal policies started by the previous government coalition of Social Democrats and Greens under Gerhard Schröder, continued by the current government of the Big Coalition between Christian Democrats, Christian Socialists and Social Democrats under chancellor Angela Merkel in the name of growth and brought huge profits for the capital without, however, improve life conditions for the majority of the German people. The gap between rich and poor is getting bigger as wealth is concentrated in the hands of

Vote by the Greek parliament for sell off the Independent Power Transmission Operator

The Greek “Treuhand” By a named vote today (as the Leftist party SYRIZA asked), the Greek parliament will decide on the privatization of Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE). 24-hour strikes since Monday without causing problems in power supply by the Workers in Public Power Corporation (PPC) who stated that ADMIE should stay under Public control for reasons of strategic and national security. The target of the government is to sell 66% of the shares of ADMIE according to the bill for the privatization. SYRIZA MP Thanasis Petrakos stated that "investors should not come to buy the percentage of ADMIE because SYRIZA will buy it back when will come in power". http://www.tvxs.gr/news/ellada/simera-i-psiforofia-gia-tin-idiotikopoiisi-toy-admie-poreia-ergazomenon-tis-dei As the Greek government feels that is counting days in power, rushes to sell off Public property. A "retouch" operation for the Left

Indications that, after Golden Dawn, the systemic establishment is planning a similar operation for the Left in Greece by system failure For the first time, the SYRIZA Leftist party in Opposition in Greece clearly precedes in recent polls concerning potential national elections in the country. The government knows very well that there is nothing left to do in order to reverse its negative picture and therefore it is possible to accelerate the application of new cruel measures, as lenders demand. Recent statements from Schäuble - Daiselbloom, through which they sent a message one more time to Greece, that "more things need to be done", are not accidental. Together with the tactics of "artificial destruction" through which the systemic establishment is planning to give a more or less, destroyed country to those who will replace current government, it also tries to begin a "retouch" operation for the Left in Greece. The purpose is to force t

A new attack from the neoliberal dictatorship against labor rights in Greece!

A shocking suggestion by the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE) The report of economic progress of KEPE, January 2014, suggest that new-hired young people could work for one year without minimum wage! Specifically, on page 24 under the title "Actions for fighting unemployment" is reported that: "B. SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUNG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE OF 15-24 YEARS OLD (15-29 EXTENDED DEFINITION): Abolition of the minimum wage for young people up to one year after their hiring, as a strong motive for the business to hire him/her and decide whether he/she is suitable for the position (basic, non-basic knowledge and capabilities). " ( Free translation of a part of the original report in Greek language: http://www.kepe.gr/pdf/GREEKECONOMY/TEYXOS_1_JANUARY_2014.pdf ) Even if a new worker agree to work under such terms for one year, no one is able to protect him in case that the business will fire him after a year to hire someone el

Farmakonisi refugee drownings

An ongoing crime At the port of Piraeus arrived immigrants who survived the overthrow fishing vessel during its tow by a boat of the Coast Guard. Speaking to reporters , migrants described the tragic moments lived with some of them say they lost husbands and children in the wreck. Protests by members of migrant organizations there. Recalled that the UNHCR issued a statement urged the Greek authorities to investigate the exact circumstances under which the tragedy occurred. http://www.koutipandoras.gr/article/104834/ston-peiraia-oi-epizontes-apo-tin-tragodia-sto-farmakonisi More: http://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2014/01/23/farmakonisi-tragedy-greece-dismiss-claims-coast-guard-was-towing-migrants-boat-back-to-turkey/   The stories of refugees arrived at Piraeus port are shocking. Examples of neoliberal globalization

Davos 2014 World Economic Forum In front of the mainstream media cameras: “ The World Economic Forum has identified economic inequality as a major risk to human progress, impacting social stability within countries and threatening security on a global scale.” What they truly mean about erasing inequality behind cameras: An example of a potential dialogue away from publicity and between speeches: http://failedevolution.blogspot.gr/2013/12/an-imaginary-dialogue-between-bosses.html Meanwhile: “ Almost half of the world’s wealth is now owned by just one percent of the population, and seven out of ten people live in countries where economic inequality has increased in the last 30 years.” http://www.oxfam.org/en/policy/working-for-the-few-economic-inequality

Is Greek para-state playing its last card?

Through a letter published on Tuesday's issue of Eleftherotypia newspaper, Alexandros Giotopoulos, one of the founders of the armed guerrilla group “November 17”, as long as he is telling the truth, exposes the Greek government by system failure The scene appears to be change rapidly after the letter of Alexandros Giotopoulos to Eleftherotypia newspaper. The former head of the terrorist group “November 17” exposes government since it is quite clear that according to his statements, the former member of the group and now fugitive, Christodoulos Xiros, was enjoying favorable treatment in prison and this was an order from "above". It is rather difficult someone to imagine a man like Christodoulos Xiros purely as a tool of the para-state mechanism used in periods of emergency, although in these cases, everything is possible. Let's not forget the case of the "monk with the machine gun", a secret services agent who, having plen

Το τελευταίο χαρτί του παρακράτους;

Troika policies = Destruction

A report by the EU Parliament Key points by employment MEPs and experts at a public hearing on Thursday : “ The weakening of collective agreements, high levels of unemployment and the violation of fundamental social rights were the main social consequences in Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, and Ireland, the four countries subject to the Troika's programmes ...” “ ... the policies implemented did not produce the expected economic growth and competitiveness.” “ The social side cannot stay out of the Troika programmes analysis. Millions of citizens are victims of those programmes. In order to avoid a fracture between institutions and citizens, there is a need for a democratic dialogue ... ” “ ... the results was that collective agreements were weakened, experts said, pointing to the decline in sectoral agreements and the increase in company agreements. For example, in Portugal, the number of employees covered by agreements fell from 1.9 million in 20

Breaking: Former member of the armed guerilla group November 17th threatens to take action!

Greece Through an announcement in the athens indymedia website, Christodoulos Xiros threatened that will take action again. The former member of the armed guerilla group November 17th, has recently become a "most wanted" for the Greek police since he never returned to prison after the end of his permission. In his article he signed as "free member of November 17", while characterized mainstream media as traitors of the "fourth Reich". http://www.koutipandoras.gr/article/104593/hristodoylos-xiros-tha-vrontixo-xana-antartiko-ntoyfeki-vinteo See also: https://athens.indymedia.org/front.php3?lang=el&article_id=1512022 http://www.enetenglish.gr/?i=news.en.home&id=1719 http://adiritos.blogspot.gr/2014/01/blog-post_20.html   Update: According to recent information, the message and video of Christodoulos Xiros was sent from an internet cafe located in Kaisariani-Athens! http://tvxs.gr/news/e

The tactics of artificial destruction

The Greek government behaves like a conqueror who retreats from the occupied territories by system failure While we approach euro elections it becomes more clear that the Greek government is counting days in power. An alarm is sounded by the system which tries to prepare the new conditions so that can be in charge again when new political powers will be called to govern. There are plenty scenarios according to which, Greece will go through triple elections (euro-local-national) in May and so, the Greek government will try to accelerate the application of new cruel measures, so that the experiment should be completed with maximum success and transferred to the whole eurozone. The government knows very well that there is no chance to persuade people for its intentions and its effectiveness since the everyday life of millions of Greeks becomes harder and even numbers show the destruction of the Greek society and economy, as Antonis Samaras himself admitted
