Dear Donald, please leave China alone!

Although Donald Trump continues to show some signs of resistance to the US deep state hysteria that blames Russia for almost everything, despite his further retreat towards the neocon agenda, his hostility against China continuously grows.

We have to assume that Donald worries that the US big capital interests are being threatened by the aggressive Chinese economic expansion throughout the globe. An open front has been opened with Germany too, where the banking and corporate supergiants have started a transatlantic economic war in the background. While it would be unthinkable for the US to confront directly its ally, Germany, China is being continuously provoked in the South China Sea.

Otherwise, we have to assume that Donald has no idea of where things are going right now.

As bloomberg reported “Donald Trump won’t send an official representative to the annual gathering of the world’s economic elite in Davos, taking place next week in the days leading up to his inauguration, although one of the president-elect’s advisers is slated to attend. [...] A senior member of Trump’s transition team said the president-elect thought it would betray his populist-fueled movement to have a presence at the high-powered annual gathering in the Swiss Alps.

If it's not another impressive show, like those that Donald gives against the mainstream media, then perhaps he should read the conclusions of last year's report from Davos. Briefly, as mentioned, the study estimates that there will be no "widespread societal upheaval—at least up until the year 2020", due to the takeover of jobs by artificial intelligence, that is, until the end of Trump's term.

This means that the current major concern of the elites is the probable rapid rise of instability that will threaten the current status quo, as they rapidly hyper-automate production and millions of people are being thrown out of the workforce.

Yanis Varoufakis was informed of the new conditions, as has been described already back in 2014: “When I returned to my office, I went straight to find a colleague who knows well what's going on. He informed me that the workplace I saw, was the new factory of Apple to produce MacBook Pro. It was true that, it was constructed through almost complete automatization. [...] I asked him about the move of Apple to produce computers in America, by bringing back in the US the production from China for the first time after decades. 'How's that?' And the answer was the expected one, although quite impressive: 'Wages are of no importance. The export of productive processes from America to China (off-shoring) was only an intermediate stage. The production has returned to America, but not the jobs. The new factory of Apple, not only is constructed without American workers' sweat, but will also produce MacBook Pro through complete automatization, without hiring Texans. Welcome to the New, Brave World', ended with a smile, referring obviously to the Brave New World of Aldous Huxley.”

We should not forget that, after 9/11 attacks, the Chinese government kept the exchange rate of the country at a low level. Therefore, the Chinese products became cheap and flooded America. And to pay for them, the US dollars flooded China. But rather than spend this money for the population, the Chinese leaders loaned them immediately back to America by buying government bonds. It was a perfect system of cheap goods and cheap money inflow in the US, all controlled by the Chinese political power. And that's what created stability. From this, came an orgy of lending from banks to even most unreliable borrowers in the US. Although this time, the deregulated market had been stabilized thanks to the political intervention of China, the bankers wanted to make more money.

So, when the 'party was over' with the big crisis of 2007-08 because of the Western financial mafia, the US discovered again the 'evil' China. Therefore, China is not only the key enemy of the Western big capital in the global economic field. It is used also as the scapegoat to distract people from the primary reason that is currently responsible for the loss of jobs, which is artificial intelligence and hyper-automation, not foreign workers.

If Trump really wants to defend the interests of the US working class, he should stop provoking China and start to seek ways of cooperation that would be beneficial both for the American and the Chinese people. Because, we've already pointed that “Everything shows that Trump is determined to continue the Obama 'Pivot to Asia' anti-China legacy, but this would be also his biggest mistake. [...] If Trump thinks that Putin will sit back and watch this happening, he is completely mistaken. Apart from the fact that Russia and China are committed by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which is expanding on security and defence issues, Putin knows that, if China falls, Russia will be next. Therefore, it would be a major mistake for Trump to obey to the lunatic neocon plans because the gates of hell towards WWIII will be opened for good.

The worst part of the story, is that plenty of Trump's fanatic Right-Wing followers are buying the narrative of 'evil' China. They will listen to whatever Trump says. Again, Trump is either not well-informed of the current situation, or, he provokes China on purpose to defend the interests of the US plutocracy. But the interests of the US working class are totally opposite. People should stop adopting without criticism whatever Trump says. They should stop demonizing China and focus on their real enemy which resides inside their country.

Protesters Stalk & Confront Israeli Minister Through NY Streets!

The Jimmy Dore Show   Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is also a convicted terrorist and Jewish supremacist, has been touring the US, speaking on college campuses and meeting with political groups, and he even traveled to Mar-a-Lago. His visit has been met with widespread protests, however. Ben Gvir was confronted by pro-Palestinian demonstrators in New Haven, Connecticut, following a speech he gave at Shabtai, a private Jewish society at Yale that’s not officially affiliated with the university. Jimmy Dore and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss how Ben-Gvir’s security detail was able to assault protesters with impunity — and that in fact police officers approach an assaulted protester to demand that he step away from Ben-Gvir’s group.

Trump's attempt to divide Russia & China is failing, badly

Geopolitical Economy Report   Donald Trump claimed he would "un-unite" Russia and China, but the US divide-and-conquer strategy is failing. In a meeting in Moscow celebrating the 80th anniversary of their nations' victory in World War Two, Presidents Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin reaffirmed that "China-Russia relations have reached the highest level in history" and will "jointly resist any attempts to interfere with and disrupt the traditional friendship and deep mutual trust between China and Russia". From the United States to Europe, Criticizing Israel Is Becoming a Crime

by Kit Klarenberg     Part 2 - ‘Drastic Rise’   In a grave testament to the speed with which U.S.-based pro-Israel organizations, including several prominent Jewish advocacy groups, sought to capitalize on October 7 for their own purposes, two-and-a-half weeks after Palestinian fighters breached Gaza’s infamous apartheid walls, Republican lawmaker Mike Lawler proposed H.R. 6090, also known as the Antisemitism Awareness Act. Lawler is a major recipient of Israeli lobby funds, with the influential lobbying group AIPAC gifting him $392,669 in 2023 and 2024 alone, his largest donor by some margin. His bill would require the Department of Education to consider the highly controversial International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism (which critics argue conflates criticism of Israel with antisemitism) when determining if cases of harassment are motivated by antisemitism, raising concerns that it would violate the intent of Title VI of the...

UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese: World is watching a live genocide in Gaza and doing nothing

The New Arab   As Israel’s war on Gaza enters its 19th month, UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese is sounding the alarm louder than ever: the world is watching a live genocide — and doing nothing to stop it. In an exclusive interview with The New Arab , Albanese describes the devastation in Gaza as unparalleled since WWII. Entire neighbourhoods lie in ruins, tens of thousands are dead, and 91% of Gaza’s population is at risk of malnutrition. Over 60,000 children show signs of cognitive impairment due to starvation.  “This is not just war. This is genocide in real time,” she says. “What we are seeing now is the destruction of a people who refuse to leave.” Despite UN mandates and international law, Albanese says the global system is paralysed, and governments, corporations, and even universities are complicit. “If Palestine were a crime scene, it would bear all our fingerprints.”

Is US dollar dominance at risk?

Al Jazeera English   The greenback has depreciated against other major currencies since Donald Trump's inauguration in January. Investors are worried that Trump's tariffs could cause a recession in the United States, and they have rushed to the exit. Is the president bothered? Trump appears to be of two minds when it comes to his nation's currency. He wants a dominant dollar because it gives the US geopolitical leverage. But, he says, a weaker greenback spurs US manufacturing. Some economists say the president could devalue the dollar. His team has backed the idea of a "Mar-a-Lago Accord" to weaken it. BRICS countries are also decreasing their reliance on the dollar.    Related: Trump's tariffs: A unique opportunity for BRICS and the Global South to fully escape from dollar tyranny
