The United
States flew two supersonic B-1B bombers over the Korean peninsula
Sunday in the latest provocative move against the Democratic People's
Republic of Korea.
In a
response to the DPRK's successful test launch Friday of its
Hwasong-14 intercontinental ballistic missile, the strategic bombers
were accompanied by Japanese and South Korean jets, the Pentagon
said.
The
aggressive overflight came amid belligerent tweets from Washington,
including U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley Sunday
tweeting that the United States was "done talking" about
the DPRK.
“If the
Yankees brandish the nuclear stick on this land again despite our
repeated warnings, we will clearly teach them manners with the
nuclear strategic force which we had shown them one by one,”
said DPRK leader Kim Jong Un following the successful test launch,
according to Pyongyang's Rodong Sinmun official news outlet.
